Donald Young Jr. was born July 23, 1989 in Chicago, Illinois, into a family where tennis wasn't just a sport — it was a way of life. Raised by parents who were both tennis coaches, he picked up a racket almost before he could walk.
By 16, Donald achieved the #1 junior ranking in the world. His left-handed game — explosive speed, wicked spin, innate feel — carried him to an ATP singles ranking of #38 in the world, deep runs at the US Open, and a doubles finalist appearance at the French Open.
Now based outside Atlanta, Donald has brought that same championship-level athleticism to professional pickleball. Competing on both the PPA Tour and in Major League Pickleball, he's quickly become one of the most dynamic players in the sport.
